Privacy Policy
What Cipher IQ collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
When you sign in, your provider (Google or Discord) shares your email address, your display name, and your avatar image URL. We store those to create and identify your account.
As you use the site we store what you save (matchups, players, coaches, teams, queries) and your account preferences.
If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We store your Stripe customer id, subscription id, price, renewal and end dates, and whether a payment failed. We never see or store your card number.
Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (request path, time, IP address, browser) for a limited time for security and debugging.
Our hosting provider counts page views for us: which pages are opened, from which country, browser, and screen size. It also counts a few taps, such as opening the demo or choosing a section in it. It sets no cookie and cannot follow you across other sites. Visits are told apart by a hash that changes every day.
What we do not collect
No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no selling or sharing of personal data for marketing. The site sets one cookie, the session that keeps you signed in, and a browser storage entry for your theme and navigation choices.
Why we use it
To run your account, show you what you saved, bill your subscription, answer support requests, and keep the service secure.
Where it lives
Account data is stored and served by cloud hosting providers in the United States. Payments are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy. Sign-in is handled by Google or Discord under theirs.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays while your account exists. The Delete account button on the account page removes your account, sessions, linked sign-ins, and saved items immediately and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can see and change your name on the preferences page, export or delete your data by asking us, and delete your account yourself at any time. Requests go to hello@cipheriq.app.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes are announced on the site.
